Barcelona failed in the derby against
Espanyol
Ronaldinho might have changed the sing
of the game in the 10th minute
Ronaldinho played football once more after 22 days, but was unable to
achieve a victory in the Barcelona derby against Espanyol (3-1) in Montjuic.
The blue and whites were better than the red and blues, who made a lot
of mistakes at the back and were overwhelmed by rival's counter-attacks.
The Brazilian had Barça's first good chance in the 10th minute with
a free kick that hit the crossbar, a chance that might have changed
the sign of the game.
Luis Garcia opened the scoring in the 31st minute and Espanyol grew
before a Barcelona that slowly went out.
Saviola drew the game level in the 60th minute in a great personal move,
but the joy was short-lived as five minutes later Tamudo broket he draw.
In the final minutes, with Barcelona pounding the Espanyol area in search
of a draw, a counter-attack by Luis Garcia was finished off by Rufete.
